RCA is a cash aid program specifically for single adults and families within immigrant groups who do not qualify for other cash aid programs, including refugees and asylum seekers. The RCA application is integrated with the CalWORKs application to streamline the process. Individuals with minor children must apply for CalWORKs first. Those without minor children or who have minor children but do not qualify for CalWORKs can still apply for RCA.
