We provide a broad selection of assistance programs to accommodate your needs. Programs that assist with anything from food aid to job services to house weatherization to power assistance. Our varied selection of programs enables us to help you achieve stability and improve your life.





 




    Cash Aid and Financial Assistance

CalWORKs
CalWORKs provides financial assistance and supportive services to help families with minor children achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Energy Assistance
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) can offer income-eligible residents credit to their utility bills. Residents may also qualify for the Weatherization Program, which provides free long-term energy-saving home improvements.

General Assistance
The General Assistance (GA) program provides loan assistance to individuals and families in temporary need of housing and food. General Assistance is funded and administered by the County of San Joaquin.

Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)
Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) is a cash aid program for single adults and families in immigrant groups who aren't eligible for other cash aid programs.

Trafficking and Crime Victims Assistance Program
TCVAP is for victims of human trafficking who haven't been certified by the Office of Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) yet.

Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI)
CAPI is a 100 percent state-funded program designed to provide monthly cash benefits to aged, blind, or disabled non-citizens.





    Housing

Independent Living Program (Foster Youth)
The Independent Living Program is a Federal and state-funded program designed to help foster youth nearing adulthood prepare for life on their own.

Home Energy Assistance Program

Weatherization
The Weatherization Program can assist renters or owners by installing energy saving measures and through repairs to homes, multi-unit dwellings, and mobile homes.

 

 




Food and Nutrition Assistance

CalFresh
The CalFresh program (previously Food Stamps) is a nutritional assistance program designed to help single adults and families with little or no income buy food.

Meals on Wheels
Home-delivered meals provide a nutritious meal and personal contact to homebound older adults in the San Joaquin County community.

Older Adult Lunch Program (Congregate Meals)
The Older Adult Lunch Program provides nutritious meals in a community setting, supporting health and social connections for older adults aged 60 and older.

WIC
The Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides food vouchers, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and health care referrals to eligible women and children.

Silver Harvest Program
The Silver Harvest Program is designed to deliver bags of nutritious supplemental groceries to low-income older adult citizens aged 60 and over.






Employment Assistance
Welfare to Work is an Employment Program designed to help adults receiving CalWORKs cash aid prepare for work and find a job. If necessary, you can improve your job skills or learn new skills to help you get a job in today’s workforce.

Medical
Medi-Cal is the California version of the Federal Medicaid program. The Medi-Cal program provides health care coverage for low-income residents of California.

IHSS
The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program can help pay for services to help you stay safely in your own home.
